Renshaw Europe - Factories

Our Factories

The Renshaw site produces approx. 20,000 tonnes (or 20,000,000 kilos) of finished product in an average year.

All of the sugar used in Renshaw products is milled on site to ensure it meets exacting brand and product standards.

Almonds used for marzipan production are blanched and processed on site prior to production.

Renshaw has become expert in its field through a combination of peerless product knowledge and expertise. They use their comprehensive NPD and test bakery facilities and a BRC-accredited production facility in Liverpool, UK to deliver quality products in a variety of pack sizes suitable for all types of customer.

During the 1990s, over £16m was invested in the Liverpool site. In 1996 Renshaw was awarded ISO9001 – the first of many subsequent universal quality accreditations. In 2000 Renshaw had a production of 6,000 tonnes per annum. And in 2010 the developments were mainly in the packing hall with extruders and also additional packing line capabilities.

Renshaw has now invested over £500K in new equipment and packaging to enhance the product quality position. Today Renshaw employs approximately 350 people at their Liverpool facility.

Rainbow Dust Colours started from humble beginnings but they are proud of their progress since 2008.

They have a team of around 30 staff members and their site now comprise of a 20,000sq/ft, divided into approximately 50% warehouse and 50% production. Their site facilities are accredited to SALSA food standards, ensuring hygiene and quality standards are the forefront of our products.

Rainbow Dust Colours have two sides to their production site, manufacturing and filling. Within the manufacturing areas, they have 350kg contra rotating, shear head mixers for liquid products and rotating steel blade mixers for dry powder products.

All manufacturing is handled under strict, cleanroom conditions. These bulk materials are then transferred over to the filling lines for production into finished retail products.

For each product line they manufacture, they have automated and semi-automated filling lines for both powder and liquid covering a number of formats from jars, small bottles and tube filling.

This investment in automation has allowed them to keep up with continued demand over the years and keep the supply of their products running smoothly.

This has allowed them to increase production with the growing demand for their products. They believe fast supply and a strong margin for their customers is the key to their success and this remains at the core of their company.
